The Lich Queen Muses

Good things about today:

Charged the textbook to my financial aid account, so I’m going to pretend that money never existed.
Laptop and battery are so far okay!
My new job is everything I dreamed working in a bookstore would be when I was a kid. I’m still not quite used to working a full day and coming home happy, not exhausted. The whole atmosphere, everything we’re about is something that I can actually believe in, invest myself in. I mean, I’ll forever be grateful to B&N, because I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t been there (and I met a lot of people there that I love dearly and am so happy to have in my life). But the whole culture at my new job is about cultivating good relationships with the customers and with each other, and there’s so much passion about books, and I’m surrounded by writers every day, and it’s just…I feel so, so lucky right now.

Okay.

Now I’m going to go heat up some stew (IT’S A GOOD THING IT’S DELICIOUS I’M GOING TO BE EATING IT FOREVER) and read for a bit before doing my French homework. I have a class and a lab tomorrow, but I have the rest of the day off to do laundry and read and work on assignments and whatnot.

Things are good right now.
