Reading a favourite book for a second time often feels like a different experience - now scientists say that it actually IS different.

The habit of watching films or reading books multiple times encourages people to engage with them emotionally.

This is so true. I had an even more emotion reaction to The Bluest Eye the second time I read it. I think it might be because I wasn’t focusing on the plot and the characters, but the nuances within the interactions and the meanings behind the piece as a whole…
